Chrome Extension Ideas #4
This issue covers ideas for Scraping, Twitter, and Amazon
Here’s the latest edition of Chrome Extension Ideas, A newsletter where we share demand-based chrome extension ideas.
Welcome to the 178 new people joining this week! Feel free to reply to this email and let me know how can I make this more useful for you.
Note: Before we start with ideas, if you have not already seen Greg Isenberg’s Billion Dollar Chrome Extension Club thread, You should check it out.
I know most of you came from seeing my comment on that thread but still, it’s worth another look :)
Let’s dive into the first idea:
A chrome extension that auto-scrapes all links, images, and quotes available on the page.
Some more section ideas: people, events, dates, companies, etc on the page.
Similar Solutions:
Tyler is also building this so you can also follow his updates.
Let’s move onto the second idea:
A chrome extension that helps you save and re-use GIFs on Twitter.
Similar Solutions:
With this one, focus on helping them re-use the GIF. They don’t want to save GIFs, They want to re-use them when they want. That’s the outcome they are looking for.
And the last idea of this issue:
A Chrome Extension that automatically ticks the coupon field on Amazon.
It’s important to understand the psychology of the buyer for this one.
Rishi has covered it beautifully here: https://www.frictionless-commerce.com/blog/strange-amazon-coupon-code-functionality/
Similar Solutions: I couldn’t find any similar solutions that help you auto-tick Amazon coupons.
I’m not sure if this is true but Matt mentioned that sellers are charged when coupons are redeemed, so they’re always going to be disabled by default.
And before we wrap it up, I want to show you someone who turned a tweet into a Chrome Extension.
He is also a subscriber. Do show some love to Scroll Portal. I’m using it to track the number of tweets I scroll through to prepare this issue for you and my current score is 2527.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s Chrome Extension Ideas. See you next week.
